The Clive in Bromfield is an ideal venue for wedding celebrations, situated opposite Bromfield Church, it could not be more convenient.
Two individual dining rooms are available, each seating up to 45 people with a separate bar and an attractive courtyard for those warmer months. If you are planning a large celebration, we can offer you an exclusive use package to include all dining and bar areas and our 15 en suite bedrooms.
We can serve canapes and champagne on arrival, informal buffet and carved buffet menus or three course set menus to meet your budget. Our wine list is extensive and varied. We particularly specialise in small formal seated parties and it is worth noting that there is no additional charge for hiring the venue.
Set within the Earl of Plymouth’s Estate where Clive of India once lived, The Clive restaurant Ludlow was originally an 18th Century farm.
In the late 1900s the building was opened as ‘The Clive Arms’ to provide a public house for the many workers of the Estate.
Not until 1997 was it refurbished to a contemporary style while maintaining the original traditional features and named 'The Cookhouse'.
Now a family run business, the establishment has changed its name to The Clive Bar and Restaurant with Rooms to encompass the development of 15 en suite bedrooms in 2004 and a refurbishment in 2007.
