Halston is a privately owned country house available as a location for weddings, a private or corporate party, a conference, a product launch or film work.
Situated in fabulous secluded parkland and overlooking two lakes the Grade 1 listed William and Mary house was once home to the renowned John 'Mad Jack' Mytton. Today Halston is home to Rupert and Harriet Harvey, along with their two children Archie and Charlie.
Halston is available as a venue for your wedding. Unlike hotels, if you hold your wedding here the whole venue is yours and yours alone for the duration.
Smaller receptions can be held inside the house and for larger ones a marquee can be used. The historic chapel, one of only two timber-framed churches in Shropshire, is also available for marriage blessings.
The rooms, spacious and well-furnished, are bright with fragrant flowers fresh from the garden. You can recapture the peaceful atmosphere of days gone by, when horse-drawn carriages clattered up the drive, and learn about John 'Mad Jack' Mytton, Squire of Halston, one of Regency England's most rip-roaring eccentrics.
