Abel's Harp, established in November 2012, must have the most dramatic location in the West Shropshire area. Situated on high ground overlooking the Welsh hills, the panoramic views enjoyed from it are an absolute delight.
To the rear, a little further up the hill, is Bromlow Callow. A callow is a circle of trees that is very much a Shropshire landmark.
Pre Abel's Harp days the venue was host to Ronnie Lane and Eric Clapton, Abel's Harp takes its name from Abel Woodus, a character in Mary Webb's 'Gone to Earth', a harpist who played his harp in the Callow.
